Just bought a pizzelle maker a few weeks ago to make these cookies as my gifts this year. I tried a batch to see how they are. And we loved them. Im going to be making them the Sunday before Christmas to give away. Happy Holidays!!!

My mom made gingerbread cookies and of all the Christmas cookies they are what I miss most. Baking and Christmas are synonymous...the aroma of cookies baking IS Christmas.

Yummmmmmmm! I'm debating whether to even make my favorites this year, Polish Tea Cakes. No one else will miss them as I'm the one who really loves them. And if I make them I will eat.them.all. Oy.

Great list. I make Myer Lemon Cookies similar to your meltaways and also Citrus Sizzlers that have a bit of cayenne pepper in them for a wee zing.

I love the cookies my mom called "Enid's Nut Ball" cookies (Enid was her twin sister). I later learned that they are Russian Tea Cakes--very simple, very rich and very yummy. Like almost every one, sugar cookies are one of my favs.
