August was such a whirlwind of busy that I forgot to post about the August Yarn club mailing. The designer for this mailing is the very talented Bristol Ivy
The theme this year is The Roaring 20's and Bristol designed these mitts to capture the strong, clear lines of the Art Deco period and I think she did a fabulous job. Thank you Bristol!
The yarn for this mailing was Lucent in soft shades of brown with coppery highlights. Bristol requested soft Sepia shades....I named this color "Speakeasy" to keep with the club's theme.
My short freckly fingers are not quite as elegant as Bristol's, long thin hands, but I do love the nail polish color for fall!
I had a lot of fun with this mailing. :-)

I love the color! Are you going to make speakeasy ever again?

That looks like a great pattern and yarn combination. I love that the color of the yarn matches your manicure so perfectly.

Gorgeous yarn in a beautiful color. Need to find my knitting mojo again.

So what is the name of that OPI color? Love the way it looks with the mits and yarn color. I'm sorry I'm not a club member.

I use fingerless mitts when I'm at the computer and hands are cold. I also use them when knitting and hands are cold. There are a lot of uses!

Uh, it's gloves that don't cut it!

Love the name and the 20's theme. I have never made any fingerless mitts because they seem counter intuitive to me. I wear mittens outdoors when it's really chilly because my fingers get cold and globes just don't cut it. So I guess I'm asking the question, "how do you use fingerless mitts?"
