i'm a fan of the 'mindless' sock as well. Great for travelling, chatting at knit night, etc. :)

Oh, boo on that skein for sure. Good fix. I agree. I think I used up my Claudia on Chevron scarf...was a little nervous about pure merino in sox, didn't even think about the yardage. And I have huge feet.

Mindless knitting is a must in some circumstances. The contrasting toe makes a very unique pair of socks. I'm all for socks that aren't perfectly matched.

Yup - me too! I always have a plain Jane with me. I call these my travel socks, because I can pull them out just about anywhere and add a few stitches or rows. Yours look beautiful!

Jo

Since I can't seem to knit anything with any kind of pattern while chatting, beautiful yarns are a saving grace. All of your socks are special in some way--thanks for sharing!

Patty

Love mindless knitting and as Carole said especially with friends! You're rocking the socks Kim!

Carole

I love it, too, especially when you are the one I'm chatting and knitting with! Your new socks are so pretty and the contrasting toe looks fine. I do think there should have been enough yarn, though, and it makes me nervous to knit with Claudia's Handpaint again.
