Pattern: Regina
Yarn: Woolen Rabbit WW Kashmir
Colorway: Chimney Sweep
Needles: US 6 and US 8
Courtney really loved the Regina hat that I made for Ashley for Christmas, so she asked if I would make her one in a dark grey color. She wanted a hat to wear to some of her more dressy occasions at college. This is a pattern that I really enjoyed knitting, so I was happy to do this for her.
The weather has been incredibly mild for January, so I grabbed my camera and we went outside for a little photo shoot. When Courtney was a little girl, we used to do the "Lets see you make a __________ face. (insert the word,ie;scary, sad, happy, etc)
So as I was taking the pictures, I said...let's see you make a serious smoldering face......well, she held it for all of 2 seconds before she dissolved into a fit of laughter....
I guess happy face Courney is what she does and always has best. :-)
Thanks Courtney!
On another note, I have read on various blogs where people are finding "their" word/words that they hope will embody the new year. I am going to have to think on this one a bit and see what I can come up with....hmmmm.
How about you....do you have a word that you are thinking about?

Funny, I am supposed to be doing a scrapbook for 2012, never have done one yet and have to have a word for each month and a word for the year, and I think my word for 2012 (a wee bit late in the game now since its almost February!) is sing.

One word huh? It would be adventure. I love the hat too. I must make that one. It looks great on everyone I've seen it on. Especially your daughter! :-)

With so many words to choose from, why choose just one?
; )
Love the hat. I wonder if any of my girls would wear one. It's so cool, I might just knit one, anyway.

Fit. Or else, as my teen girl likes to say, "hawt!"

I think my word will either be FEARLESS or NOW! There is something very engaging about the idea of a word for the year. You haven't told us yours. Jo

Love it! It looks great on her too!
I do have a word - I need one to be sure - something good to focus on when I'm feeling over-stressed. Which was a lot in 2011!

The hat is really cute on her. I'm thinking about words, too, and I might settle on move.
