Yarn: Woolen Rabbit Alpaca/silk/merino blend
(yet to be named...but in the store soon.)
Needles: US size 7
Raveled: here
Ashley was a good sport to let me take some pictures of her in Mara today. She was dressed in her "clean the house clothes and hairdo"...LOL.
Guess I should have mentioned it to her, eh?
This truly was an enjoyable knit, especially for anyone who enjoys mindless garter stitching, which I do.
I used a marker to mark the yarn over side to make it even more mindless. :-)
The end result is an incredibly soft and cushy fabric that will be perfect to cuddle up in on a cold Spring or Autumn night.
I first saw this shawl on Ravelry and then I had the pleasure of seeing it on someone at Spa. It was at that very moment that I knew I must make one myself and I am SO glad that I did.
And here's a little treat for those of you have asked what has happened to Ellie...no pictures....here's one for you.
Don't you just love her pouty little face?

What a delicious shawl! And your puppy is so so cute, plus a beautiful model.
Thanks for sharing!

Is it just a coincidence that Mara and Ellie are colour coordinated? I think not.

That's just so lovely! The yarn looks scrumptious. And I also like some mindless knitting. And if that's Ashley's "cleaning" look, yowza, she's beautiful!

Kim- I want to kiss that baby on her nose.
Both your daughter and the shawl are beautiful. Well done.

The shawl is beautiful and so is the yarn! I think when you get it in, I'm going to knit a Mara, too. Ellie is crazy-cute! Seriously makes my entire family want a pup just like her. :)

The project turned out great! Your daughter looks so pretty in it. Your other little daughter (Ellie) looks so cute! She matches the yarn! Name the yarn after her!!! I want to hold her. She's too adorable!

Mara is beautiful, but it's your yarn that makes it fabulous!

Fabbbbbbbbbbb. That color is melty-delicious, and yeah, if only I could look like that in my "cleaning-the-house clothes and hair"!
Cutie-patootie puppy, too!

If only I could look that good in my "cleaning cloths and hairdo" life would be, well, looking good. The shawl is gorgeous, I can't wait for the yarn to be available at the store.

Did you intentionally match shawl with dog??

Great modeled shots of Ashley with Ellie! Your Mara came out beautifully in your new yarn. I remember that wine red one at SPA too.
