Pattern: Aestlight
Yarn: Woolen Rabbit Kashmir
Colorway: "Rib Bit"
Needles: US size size 6
This pretty shawl is one of the things that I made while I was away. The pattern is Aestlight and is constructed in a manner that I have never done before. It has you start where the garter stitch point is.....knit your all of your garter work and then basically flip it, pick up stitches and continue on with the open lace work.
I'm not entirely sure that I really enjoyed this process, but I am really pleased with how it turned out. I made the smaller sized shawl which made for a fast knit, but it is still big enough to wrap around your neck and who doesn't like a little cashmere around their neck?
......and of course the flying shawl picture .....
Now if I can only find my notes for Wing of Moth to figure out where I left off....hmmmm

I love that! You did a wonderful job on it and the color is wonderful. Something to add to my queue... :)

I hope you know it is YOUR fault I was just sucked into Ravelry looking at all the different projects made in this pattern.
(And it was most enjoyable. Thank you. Your shawl is an inspiration.)

Very pretty! The flying shawl picture shows it off well. I think it might have been worth the wonky process. But then, I'm not the one who had to knit it.

Gorgeous! I had a hard time picking between the Ribbit colorway and the Scottish Heather - both are so pretty!

Absolutely gorgeous, Kim! I'd already faved that pattern... now I've had to purchase and download it, too. Hopefully, I'll get 'round to knitting it soon!

That's beautiful, Kim. And it's fun to try different techniques, otherwise how would we know what we really enjoy?
