Pattern: Acer
Yarn: Beaverslide
Colorway: Chokeberry
Needles: US 9
What can I say about this pattern that hasn't already been said? Kirsten created a winner for sure with this one! I LOVE everything about this sweater starting right from the beginning opening that beautiful bag of Beaverslide.
It's the little details that make this sweater. The ribbing on the yoke and arms...and the front/back darts. Many nights when I was too tired to do much of anything, this sweater was my companion. There is something so soothing about the rhythm of stockinette knitting.
I took a risk with this sweater and went down a size or two from what I typically would knit. Typically my sweaters come out huge....I guess I see myself as bigger than I truly am...LOL. I am thrilled to pieces that this one actually fits.........woo hoo!!
Next sweater in the queue....Olivia.

Gorgeous! I'm going to have to queue this sweater.

I was on the fence about this pattern because of the lower neckline, but it looks lovely. The color is perfect!

That Beaverslide yarn looks great, as does the sweater, as does the knitter! Congrats on such a successful project.

Hi Kim, The sweater looks beautiful! I love the collection that you got the pattern from. Did you find the book in the US or did you have to order it from England & convert your payment currency?

What they all said! Just perfect in every regard! (I want to know where you get those turtlenecks that don't flop, neckwise!) My only hesitation on Acer is the neckline....I made one similar to that with handspun and my neck was always cold! It got frogged.

You and Acer look like a match made in knit heaven. Lovely. :)
Rowan Felted Tweed is my most favourite yarn, I can't wait to see Olivia. If I could only even knit with one kind of yarn I'd chose RFT.
