I'm not happy that summer is ending, but still I'm happy that fall is coming!

An adorable backpack for an adorable girl. Can't wait to see it done.
Hey, we're coming up this weekend but it's gonna be short. Let me know if you want to meet up at Patternworks or something.

Kim- You're a terrific Grammy- because I'd be taking her to Staples to select a backpack. Okay, maybe order from L.L. Bean.

ALL my summer projects are sitting around looking menacingly at me- time to put them away.

I love everything you're going to make, and I can't wait to see it all! Reading blogs gets me into so much trouble. Now, I have to make the backpack for my little granddaughter, who started kindergarten two weeks ago. Boohoo!!! On top of it all, I'm billions of miles away from her. She's in Tennessee. I feel closer to her when I knit something for her. When I've seen something that looks like it would be fun to make for her, I'll tell her about it, ask her what color, and then, often, it doesn't get made for forever!!! Grandmas have to get their acts together! Love your blog, Kim.

Things happen,Im sure you have been busy enough.

I guess I can't blame anyone but myself for the failure to finish my Alpine Lace Scarf this summer - I snuck in too many unplanned projects.

I think it's Crafter's Nature, all the projects made with our hands, they take longer than we think it 'should'? We are a crazy optimistic bunch.
It IS a 'Grandmother's Duty', :^)... my daughter and granddaughter seem to think I should knit only for them and seriously, their list is neverending.
What a gorgeous whack of Beach gifts, so soothing to the eye, the colours.. and love the shell birdhouse!
Our schools opened their doors for classes on the 11th of August! unbelievable!

It is 40 here this morning. I think you'd better hurry if you think you'll fit all that into summer. The hills are turning now, not only a tree here and there.

It's just nice to hear I'm not the only one with Delusions of Grandeur.

Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs, and our project queue is always busier than our hands.

We always think we'll do more than we do, I guess that's human nature. Or should I call it knitting nature?
