A Wool Peddler in a Wool House

Wp_shawl_2

What an absolutely gorgeous weekend we had here in New England!  The temperatures were almost autumn like with a warm breeze.  If the weather could be like this year round here, I think I could die a happy woman!

I spent Saturday at Parker River Alpaca Farm with some fiber friends, including my good friend blogless Manise.  Do you think I took a picture?  Of course not...I was waaay too busy chatting away.  (I dont' get out enough....LOL)Cheryl was snapping away, so I'm betting she will have some pictures up soon.

Hannah_shawl_2 As you may remember, I was really sweating the yarn situation with my Wool Peddler shawl.  I had sent out an SOS to Judy, but she had been away, so I kept plugging away on a prayer and a song.

Leftover_wpyarn As you can see, the shawl is finished and as you can see........I just barely made it....eek!

Just as I was finishing up, Judy did email me to let me know that she had some more of this yarn.  Whew.......even though I didn't end up needing it, it was good to know that had I run out, I could have found another skein.

All and all, this was a fabulous knit and one I would do again :-)!

Pattern:  Interweave Knits, Folk Shawls...Wool Peddler Shawl
Yarn:  Ball & Skein Merino/wool dk weight

Oh my oh MY, that is one of the prettiest Peddlers I've ever seen! (Judy's, incidentally, is way up high on the list. ;-)

I'm a wee bit envious that you had some time with Manise and Cheryl.
The shawl is GORGEOUS! It's high on my list of future knits (hope to spin the yarn). Wear it well and enjoy it!!

It’s beautiful!

It was a wonderful weekend a little way up the coast in the Maritimes too! What a beautiful shawl! And so close! What a huge sigh of relief you must have had when you realized that you had enough to finish!

That's beautiful! And I can't believe that teensy pile of fear sitting in that leftover yarn picture.

It's absolutely beautiful!

Really nice! It is beautiful in those earthy tones! Glad you had jusssst enough yarn, too!

This is so stunning! Mind if I link?
