The days have been a whirlwind of soaking fiber, stirring the caldron, hanging skeins in the wind and sitting behind the carder, as well as having a busy time at my real job. Not much time unfortunately for blogging, but I feel as though I am getting caught up on some of your lives again. Even though I can't type when I am carding, I do get a chance to read away, and it has been theraputic. So nice to see what is going on in everyone's lives and all the wonderfully, beautiful knitting that's been happening:-).
A few weeks ago, as you may remember, it was my birthday. I forgot to show you the little gift that I bought for myself. A bag of Alice Starmore Bainin yarn went up for sale on one of the email sale lists. Given that Brick is a color I love and I have been wanting to try some of this yarn for so long, I went for it :-). Now 12 skeins would have been a bit better than 10, so if anyone has 2 skeins of Brick Bainin kicking around, you know where to find me :-)
Last post you saw Maggie looking absolutely beautiful....and she is! Maggie however is very mischeivous and loves to tussle with Kali my little black and tan baby. Now Kali is a dear and puts up with waaay more abuse than most any dog would (imagine a big, gangly Maggie tackling a little 11 pound baby), but she is only patient up to a point....can you tell what point she was at when I took this picture?? Haha! Kali is a beautiful girl............but with the sun in her eyes and being completely exasperated with Maggie, she's looking pretty mean here...<grin>.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, it's good to be back in our room where that big, bully Maggie can't get us!

Hi Kim,
I always look at your blog with hopes of seeing a picture of little Kali. She looks so adorable. Give her some kisses from me and her Daddy!!! Have a great week.

I laughed out loud when I saw that picture of Kali! That's the same look my cat Ivan gets when my pup Max is in a playful mood! :)
Maggie is a gorgeous doll though!

I think that red maple yarn may be one of the most beautiful "red" blends I've ever seen.

That "Go ahead make my day" Clint Eastwood look on Kali's face is absolutely priceless!! She'd probably love to pierce Maggie's ears for free! Just kidding :-)
What color is that skein above? It's beautiful.

What a great expression! She looks like she's saying, "Don't mess with me."

That is such a great pic! Those are the ones that should be framed and put on the mantle.

Hi Kim
Could you contact me please when you get this message. I tried to order some of your sock yarn and the Paypal has not deducted it yet, I want to be sure you received the order and I don't have your email address available at work to contact you.
Sharon
ps- Kali looks the way my Misty gets when she is annoyed by the cats

Haven't seen Kali in a while. I don't think she looks mean. She looks pooped. lol. She so pretty. I love that her and Aggie are almost the same age.

I don't think she looks mean. Annoyed perhaps. But one of your dogs could never be mean!

That is some expression on Kali's face -- she *does* look pretty fed up! I love your birthday present - hope another couple of skeins pop up.
