Christine

My sister lives a short drive from The Mannings and says the only reason I visit her is to go and fondle yarn. Did you see all of the cute Jacob sheep on the farm at the road's entrance?

Jen

That loom looks so cool! I really never knew anything about weaving and what types of wonderful things people wove for a long time. Then one day I was flipping through a catalog, I think it may have been halcyon yarn, and they had a weaving section. I loved everything in it. Some of the dish towels I thought were so pretty and I've often thought about getting a small loom to make things like that. But just like everything else I keep thinking of doing, it would be yet another hobby to drain my time and money which are both in short supply right now. I have a feeling that I'll be learning to weave down the road though, maybe when my son is grown up and moved out and I get some more time!! :) Lol!

Lynne

What an awesome package for you, Kim! I'm so happy!

Jean

That is SO cool! There's gotta be some kind of lucky sign. Heck, it was luck just getting to see it. And a loom. Fun. One of my goals when we get back to the States is to take a weaving class at Harrisville.

Chris

What a great treat in the back yard. GBHs are impressive.

Liz

Great blue herons are my favorite bird... I feel so lucky when we have one fishing our pond. That one's gorgeous!

Laurie

I have never seen a heron that close. What a magnificent bird! He's HUGE. Wow.

The Mannings was one of my favorite stops at a fiber festival (?Maryland or Rhinebeck). Got books, too!

Carole

I'm so jealous that you got to go to The Mannings! I love it there!
And the heron pictures are gorgeous. Do you have water in your backyard or nearby?

brooke

Wow, that’s an incredible bird. I love the sock yarn you received in your swap.
