Seek silence,
Gladden in silence.
Adore silence
As one progresses on the path, one seeks silence more and more. It will be a great comfort, a tremendous source of solace and peace. Den Ming~Dao
Due to a death in our family, I will not be attending Rhinebeck. My husband's father passed away today and sadly it was on Ken's birthday. I will need to stay home to care for the animals, while Ken, my son and my daughters head to Pennsylvania to be with Ken's family. Although I am so disappointed not to be able to attend either the funeral or Rhinebeck, Ken knows that I will be with him in spirit. We can't plan life or death........it just happens.
I will leave you with some autumn pictures that I took this afternoon
that speak to me of that same silent peace that Dao's
words speak of. Autumn in the mountains has such a gentle yet
vibrant spirit. I always feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful
piece of our country.
And to my friends who I will surely miss this weekend......I will be with you all in spirit as well~

My condolences to you and your family on your loss.
