It is hard to comprehend the devastation; entire towns just gone. New Orleans is such a vivid, special place; there is so much spirit there that something will grow out of the floods and sadness.

I was in New Orleans about 18 months ago and fell in love with the city - I'm just heartbroken at the loss. And scared because I haven't heard from one of my work team since Friday p.m. - she lives just north and west of the city proper.

Thank YOU, Kim. I know my mom is going to love your scarf, and I got to help Oliver in the process, so it's all good. :)

I, too, am in shock about the Hurricane damage. I was in New Orleans years ago, and am having trouble picturing exactly what's going on down there (the fact that I don't watch TV isn't helping with this).

We've never been to the Fryeburg Fair. Might have to check it out and say hello!

Buras was hard hit. It is frightening to think NO will no longer be a city. One of my most memorable trips was to that unique city. I think we have no idea how this will affect our lives.
Liz is one cool lady!

It is so sad to see what is happening! Your scarf is so pretty - cheered me up a bit!

What an awesome feeling it must be, to see that project through, from unspun fiber to finished, wearable item. Pats on the back to you!!

I can't fathom the devestation in the gulf. It is heartbreaking.
